Writer's Eagle
Your Story
So You've Completed Your Manuscript... Now What?

The road to publishing a novel is never easy as it involves many questions and the stops along the way may feel endless.

Before an author can even decide whether traditional or self-publishing is best for them, they need to make sure the story they are telling is one that can engage readers and let their own unique voice shine.

With guidance from a developmental editor, these sessions give writers the chance to have an editor read their story, and get one-on-one feedback on ways they can improve and develop their manuscript before it is published.

Story Development
The goal is to give you the chance to have your work seen by a professional, who can advise you, and for you to get the chance to ask questions before you dive into your own in-depth editing of your work and start on your road to publishing.

By the end of this programme, you can achieve:
-
Better developed characters
-
More confidence in your manuscript
-
A cohesive plot with adequate genre tone and flow
-
An understanding of what’s next in your process
-
Plus more.
You will have access to a guide before you start on this road called publishing. You’ll get feedback on plot lines, pacing, character development, publishing guidelines, an overall structural analysis assessment as well as a full edit of your first 50 pages.
The Editor
As a developmental editor with Caribbean Books Foundation, True Nicks has reviewed manuscripts and provided feedback to authors as part of her work with the Foundation and is capable of giving feedback on your manuscript.
NB: The programmes offered are not full developmental edits. The first 50 pages will be fully edited by the editor, the rest of the book will be reviewed and a structural assessment overview will be provided. The editor will answer any questions the participants may have during the length of the programme. Should participants want a full developmental edit of their manuscript, the editor can provide a separate quote.

Feedback is given through email, audio files, online meeting or via telephone. Enrollment is limited to 5 persons per cycle to ensure adequate feedback.
